This will serve as the first post of my tech blog. The first couple of posts on here will be ones I previously posted at wanttobemore.com and I may even continue to post them there.
My mission is to bring technology help to independent, fundamental Baptist Churches across the country and the world. Churches need to be able to use modern tools for their ministry–not to negate the old-fashioned core character of the work, but to support and enhance it.
An effective website is like having a nice front lawn and a good sign. It is the first face you present to many people. It is the only thing many will ever see of your church. So your website needs to look good. It needs to say what you believe. It needs to have the gospel. We will build and maintain this for you.
On the flip side, your network is a lockbox. In it you keep personal records, financial records, and other things that are both important and sensitive. Security on your network is the lock that protects it. A proper backup is like using a fireproof safe to protect your important documents. A network needs both of these things to entrust the safety of the church’s important information to it.
Training is needed for most people to truly understand how to manage technology. I provide both expert training for your more technical volunteers who need to interact with your systems at the highest level, and I provide beginner training for those who just need to know more about how to use the tools available.
I look forward to the opportunity to be of service to your church.
